Cappuccino (real name: Karsten Löwe , born January 11, 1974 in Braunschweig ) is a German rapper .

biography

He gained his first musical experience through breakdancing , DJing and with his hip-hop combo "License to Rhyme". Then he dealt with the subject of "rap paired with jazz ". In 1993 he came to the Jazzkantine , with which he has played over 700 concerts to date, rapped on six studio albums and recorded some singles including video production.

Under the names "Tanzzkantine" and "Tanzzkantine-Space" he later stood with the jazz canteen on the stage of the Braunschweig State Theater and played the role of Till Eulenspiegel in the play Braunschweig-Braunschweig . In the last piece, Ölper 12 Pöints , he played four different roles at once.

As a solo artist, he released four studio albums and several single productions. Including the song Regenbögen , which contains samples from Moments in Love by The Art of Noise . He received a gold record and RSH gold as “Best German Rap Act 1998”. He also wrote the title song for Til Schweiger's movie Der Eisbär and appeared in the opening act for the American R&B band Dru Hill . He had television appearances with Harald Schmidt, Stefan Raab, Verona Feldbusch, Oliver Geissen, Verbotene Liebe as well as moderation at VIVA and MTV and worked with artists, bands and filmmakers like House of Riddim, Knut Knutson, Söhne Mannheims , Yah Sesco and Timo-Rose- Film together.

He also produced his fourth album alone and founded “Studio-38” with his partner Christian Spilles, which merged in 2004 with the party and booking agency “Itsblack” under the direction of Andre Vaternam and produced productions for artists such as Ramean and Hannibal and 38 street tape as well as R&B and hip-hop events.

Together with the band Jammin * Inc , he released their free debut album Mit Anlauf under the Creative Commons license in 2005 , played with her in the opening act for Gentleman and at the Chiemsee Reggae Festival in 2006 and was among the last three of the Rio Reiser- Song Prize Contest 2006.

In 2008 the new album with the Jazzkantine was released on the Cappuccino with 3 new tracks. There was a tour with this album in late 2008.
