Carasi is a municipality in the Philippine province of Ilocos Norte . In 2015, 1567 inhabitants lived in the 157 km² area, resulting in a population density of 10 inhabitants per km². The area is very mountainous and difficult to manage. The two rivers Cora and Macuton also flow through Carasi.
Carasi is divided into the following three barangays :
- Angset
- Barbaqueso
- Virbira
