Nueva Era is a municipality in the Philippine province of Ilocos Norte . In 2015 the 515 km² area had 9,056 inhabitants. The area is very mountainous and very sparsely populated with 18.5 inhabitants per km².
Nueva Era is divided into the following eleven barangays :
