Carl Beck (politician, 1822)

Carl Beck (born April 24, 1822 in Kohlgrund , † June 25, 1884 in Mengeringhausen ) was a German politician and pastor .

Life

Beck was the son of forester Christian Beck and his wife Beata nee Köhler. He married Caroline Wilhelmine Adelheid Engelhard on May 18, 1849 in Meringhausen.

He studied philosophy and theology in Jena . During his studies he became a member of the Burschenschaft in the Burgkeller in 1841 , then in the Fürstenkeller and again in the Burgkeller in 1843, before he became a co-founder of the Burschenschaft auf dem Bären in 1843 . In 1845 he was employed at the grammar school in Korbach , where he became vice rector in 1854 . From 1849 to 1850 he was for the XI. Constituency MP in parliament of Waldeck-Pyrmont . In 1864 he became pastor in Nieder-Ense , and in 1876 in Rhoden .
