Carl Ernst Rudolf von Gersdorff

Carl Ernst Rudolf Freiherr von Gersdorff (born July 30, 1803 in Groß-Glogau , Province of Silesia , † June 22, 1876 in Bad Landeck ) was a Prussian manor owner and politician.

Life

Carl von Gersdorff studied from 1825 to 1826 at the University of Goettingen law and was until 1827 First Lieutenant in the Garde du Corps in Halberstadt . He then managed the Weidenvorwerk estate in Meseritz , and in 1836 he became the owner of the Tuetz estate near Deutsch Krone , which he managed until 1853.

From May 19, 1848 to March 15, 1849 he was a member of the Frankfurt National Assembly for the 20th Prussian constituency Deutsch Krone . There he belonged to the conservative Café Milani faction .

In 1853 Gersdorff moved to Berlin , in 1856 he moved to Switzerland . In the same year he bought a vineyard near Dresden , where he settled in 1864. In 1874 he took up residence in Breslau .
