Carl Flamm
Carl Flamm (born May 14, 1870 in Düsseldorf , † September 9, 1914 in Bonn ) was a German portrait painter from the Düsseldorf School .
Life
Flamm was a son of the Düsseldorf landscape painter Albert Flamm and his wife Anna Arnz, a daughter of the publisher Heinrich Arnz . From 1887 to 1890/1891 he attended the Düsseldorf Art Academy . There he became a student of Heinrich Lauenstein , Hugo Crola and Peter Janssen the Elder . He was also a private student of the genre painter Ferdinand Brütt and, like his father, belonged to the Düsseldorf artist association Malkasten . In 1899 he was a participant in the Great Berlin Art Exhibition .
