Carl Friedrich von Denzin (until 1861: Denzin ; born October 16, 1800 in Schlawe , † July 19, 1876 in Lauenburg in Pomerania ) was a Prussian and German conservative politician.

Life

Denzin, born in Schlawe in Pomerania , came from the rural lower class and had been a journeyman miller. On his own he brought it to the mill and estate owner in Lauenburg in Pomerania .

Between 1838 and 1864 he was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Pomerania . As such, he was also a member of the First and Second Unified Landtag in 1847/48 . In the Erfurt Union Parliament from 1850 he was a member of the House of States. Between 1848 and 1853 Denzin was also a member of the first chamber of the Prussian state parliament . There he submitted the application, named after him and Heinrich Friedrich von Itzenplitz , to amend the district and community order, which was approved by parliament in 1850. Since 1852 Denzin belonged to the second chamber or the Prussian House of Representatives , in which he represented the constituency of Köslin 1 (Lauenburg - Bütow - Stolp) as a member until his death in 1876. In 1853 he founded a conservative parliamentary group in the House of Representatives together with Adolf zu Hohenlohe-Ingelfingen , which lasted until 1858. The number of members decreased to 13 due to the new era . In the new Conservative parliamentary group formed in the following legislative period, Denzin was a member of the board. In various ways he campaigned for his constituency, for example on the question of the Pomeranian fiefdom. He also sponsored the Köslin-Danzig railway. From 1867 to 1876 he belonged first to the North German and then to the German Reichstag . In 1867 he represented the constituency Köslin 2 ( Principality of Lauenburg ) as a member of parliament , then the constituency Köslin 1 ( Stolp - Lauenburg). He died in Lauenburg in 1876.
