Carl Friedrich zu Dohna-Lauck
Burgrave and Count Carl Friedrich Alexander zu Dohna-Lauck (born November 3, 1799 in Bielsk , † September 26, 1873 in Lauck ) was a Prussian nobleman and member of the Prussian manor house .

Dohna-Lauck comes from the Lauck line of the Dohna family . She owned, among other things, the Majorat Lauck in the district of Prussian Holland , with which a hereditary seat in the Prussian manor house was connected. He was the eldest son of Burgrave Carl Wilhelm August zu Dohna-Lauck (1775-1827) and Friederike Liebermann von Sonnenberg (1769-1852). Ludwig Wilhelm zu Dohna-Lauck (1805–1895), district administrator and member of the House of Representatives, was his younger brother.
Dohna-Lauck married Countess Philippine Rudolfine Truchsess zu Waldburg (1814–1841), daughter of the envoy Friedrich Ludwig III. Count Truchsess zu Waldburg . This marriage remained childless. After the death of his first wife, he married Countess Marie Antonia Henckel von Donnersmarck (1818–1864) in 1843 , with whom he had 7 children. His eldest son Friedrich became heir .
Life
Dohna-Lauck began a military career in 1817. After the death of his uncle Alexander zu Dohna-Lauck (1769-1834) he became heir of the Lauck Majorate. He quit his military service and from then on devoted himself to the management of his goods, which were in a neglected condition and initially required high investments. In 1840, King Friedrich Wilhelm IV appointed him chamberlain and gave him the ceremonial office of Oberburggrave in the Kingdom of Prussia, later the office of court master . In 1847 Dohna-Lauck received a seat and vote in the gentlemen's curia in the United State Parliament , in 1850 a seat in the Prussian First Chamber, and in 1854 in the manor house, to which he belonged until his death. From 1850 to 1861 he was Marshal of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Prussia . In 1847 Dohna opposed progress in the emancipation of Jews in Prussia .
Dohna was a legal knight of the Order of St. John and holder of the First Class Red Eagle Order .
