Carl Gerd von Ketelhodt (born October 3, 1738 in Rudolstadt ; † January 14, 1814 there ) was a German lawyer and chancellor .

Carl Gerd von Ketelhodt was the son of Chancellor Christian Ulrich von Ketelhodt and his wife Marie Katharina von Beulwitz (1703–1769). In 1753 he began studying law in Jena with Christian Gottlieb Buder , Johann August von Hellfeld and Karl Friedrich Walch . Five years later he received his doctorate and returned to his hometown. There he entered the civil service and was appointed real privy councilor and chancellor in 1785. He also collected paintings and books. Its 16,000-volume library was bought by Prince Ludwig Friedrich II and merged with the "Rudolstadt Historical Library", which is now in the Old Town Hall.

Ketelhodt was also a member of the Rudolstadt Masonic Lodge .

Carl Gerd von Ketelhodt was married to the daughter Augusta (1742–1803) of Baron Carl August Bachoff von Echt . The couple had several children:
