Carl Gottlieb Barth (born November 9, 1819 in Radebeul ; † June 19, 1898 there ; also Karl Gottlob Barth , Carl Barth or Carl / Karl Gottl. Barth ) was a German politician , member of the state parliament , community council , local judge and landowner .

Live and act

Barth came from a long-established family of farm owners who belonged to the old community of Alt-Radebeul before the changes made by the Saxon rural community order of 1838 . Their family seat was the Bauerngut Am Kreis 1, at times without street addresses it was also Bauerngut No. 16 from Radebeul according to the fire register number. From 1825 to 1832 he attended the village school in Kaditz and then, together with his siblings, managed the paternal estate left behind by his parents. He later took this over into his sole possession. Barth was one of the so-called Twelve Apostles .

Between 1857 and 1874, Barth was a community leader and local judge in Radebeul, Saxony. From 1876 to 1885 he was the first registrar in the newly established registry office of the rural community, and from 1877 he was also the first director of the newly established savings bank association.

From 1869 to 1879, as a member of the rural electoral district 10 (Dresden I), Barth was a conservative member of the second chamber of the Saxon state parliament , the assembly of estates in the Kingdom of Saxony .

According to the civil status documents in Radebeul as well as in the obituaries on the occasion of his death as Carl Gottlieb , Barth was listed in the Saxon State Handbooks under Karl Gottlob Barth as a member of the state parliament.
