Carl Kurtz

Carl Bruno Kurtz (born June 15, 1841 in Meißen ; † December 21, 1909 in Dresden ) was a German lawyer and member of the Reichstag.

Life

Kurtz attended the Fürstenschule St. Afra-Meißen from 1855 to 1861. He studied law at the University of Leipzig and in 1862 became active in the Corps Guestphalia Leipzig. After the exam he was from 1864 trainee lawyer in Reichenbach in Vogtland and Meißen as well as assessor and from 1881 councilor and magistrate in Dresden. Then he was regional court director in Plauen and from 1886 in Dresden. As a member of the German Conservative Party , he was a member of the Reichstag for the constituency Kingdom of Saxony 22 Auerbach / Vogtl from 1887 to 1892 . –Reichenbach. There he was the rapporteur for the Wine Law and for the Socialist Law . He resigned his mandate on January 11, 1892 as a result of his appointment to the Privy Council of Justice and Lecturing Council in the Royal Saxon Ministry of Justice. Franz Hofmann was elected as his successor. Kurtz later became President of the Senate at the Higher Regional Court [Dresden?].
