Carl Olsen

Pavia Eli Carl Olsen (born October 5, 1906 in Sisimiut , † unknown ) was a Greenlandic blacksmith , judge and councilor .

Carl Olsen was the son of the boat operator Lars Eli Johannes Olsen (1866–?) And his second wife Kristine Rosa Maria Villadsen (1880–?). His father was a half-brother of Gustav Olsen (1878–1950) and Frederik Olsen (1882–1969). On May 25, 1931, he married Amalia Benedikta Karoline Sivertsen (1904–1964), daughter of the hunter Karl John Ole Sivertsen (1877–?) And his wife Karen Maria Sara Lennert (1877–?) In Sisimiut .

Carl Olsen worked as a blacksmith in Qullissat . He also worked as a district judge. He was chairman of the municipal council of Qullissat and thus de facto mayor. From 1955 to 1959 he was a member of the Greenland State Council , but like his two other colleagues from northern Greenland, he was unable to attend the last meeting. In 1963 he fell ill and had to quit his job.
