Carl Egede

Carl Anders Olsen Egede (born October 5, 1924 in Nanortalik , † January 30, 1959 in the North Atlantic ) was a Greenland state councilor .

Carl Egede was the son of Gerhard Egede (1892–1969) and his wife Karen Karoline Agathe Siegstad (1897–?), Illegitimate daughter of Carl Frederik Harries (1872–1938). His cousin was Erik Egede (1923-1967).

He was elected in Grønlands Landsråd in 1955 and took part in all meetings before he died on January 30, 1959 when Hans Hedtoft went down at the age of 34 a. a. died together with Augo Lynge . From 1957 until his death he was also chairman of the fishermen and hunters' association KNAPK .
