Carl Rudolf Huber (born August 15, 1839 in Schleinz , Walpersbach , Lower Austria , † August 28, 1896 in Vienna ) was an Austrian painter and graphic artist .

Life

Carl Rudolf Huber studied at the academies of fine arts in Vienna and Düsseldorf . In 1875 he went on a trip to Egypt with Leopold Carl Müller , Hans Makart and Franz von Lenbach . From 1880 he worked as a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna , where he taught a school for animal painting , where Alexander Pock was his student. Huber was best known for his animal pictures and portraits .
