Carl von Bergen
Carl von Bergen (born December 8, 1853 in Cuxhaven as Carl von Bargen , † January 29, 1933 in Munich ) was a German painter .
biography
Von Bergen grew up in Cuxhaven. In Munich he studied from October 1878 in the nature class of the art academy , and successfully completed the study of painting. He became known early on for genre painting with children's motifs. Among the pictures from the 19th century, a particularly charming Bach idyll stands out, “on which a happy peasant dirndl feeds a flock of ducklings from a jetty”. In 1902 he painted an oil painting for the Church of St. Nicolai in Nordleda .
