Carla Teti

Carla Teti (* 1969 in Rome ) is an Italian costume designer who works at major opera houses .

life and work

Teti studied in her hometown at the Accademia di Belle Arti . She works on well-known theaters all over Europe and designed the costumes for Cavalleria rusticana , Suor Angelica and La rondine with the director Luca De Fusco (all at the Teatro Filarmonico di Verona ), for Eugene Onegin with Juri Alexandrow (also in Verona), for Nabucco with Graziano Gregori (in the Arena di Verona ), for Ascanio in Alba with Franco Ripa di Meana (at La Scala in Milan ) and for Boris Godunow with Andrei Konchalovsky (at the Turin Opera). She has worked for many years with the directors Daniele Abbado (since 2001) and Damiano Michieletto (since 2004), as well as Michieletto's set designer Paolo Fantin . Three joint productions with Michieletto - La gazza ladra ( Pesaro 2008), La Bohème ( Salzburg 2012) and Idomeneo ( Vienna 2013) - were also recorded and broadcast for television.

In the acting field Teti has worked for several productions for the Italian company I Fratellini - including La Donna Serpente and Mein Kampf for the Venice Theater Biennale - and in 2006 for King Lear , directed by Andrei Konchalovsky at Na Woli in Warsaw.
