Carlheinz Hollmann (born December 1, 1930 in Hamburg ; † May 4, 2004 in Salzhausen ) was a German television presenter and also radio presenter of the program Radio-Telex on the 4-happy waves of RTL-Radio Luxemburg .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1951 at the Christianeum in Hamburg, Hollmann began his career on February 1, 1952, as a reporter for the Nordwestdeutscher Rundfunk (NWDR) . From 1957 he was part of the reporter team for the program Die Current Schaubude , where he succeeded Werner Baecker as a presenter in 1961 . He directed the show until 1964. Later he worked for the Hamburg Journal of the NDR , the ZDF ( Schaufenster Deutschland , Das ist ihr Leben , What would be if ... ) and for RTL ( Klartext ) as well as freelance for the regional television station Hamburg 1 .

In 1964 Hollmann founded his own production company. With her he organized many major events, such as the Hamburg harbor birthday , the Alster pleasure and the millennium celebration in Hamburg at the turn of the year 2000. Hollmann was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit and has been married to the former Miss Germany Gerti Daub since 1958 . In addition, he initiated the construction of the Alster fountain in 1986 .

Carl Heinz Hollmann succumbed to a 2004 at the age of 73 years suffering from cancer . He was buried in the Nienstedten cemetery in Hamburg.
