Carlos José Ruiseco Vieira (born October 20, 1935 in Medellín , Colombia ) is retired Archbishop of Cartagena .

Life

Carlos José Ruiseco Vieira was ordained a priest on January 6, 1960 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on December 10, 1971 titular bishop of Febiana and auxiliary bishop in Barranquilla and donated him episcopal ordination on February 13, 1972 ; Co- consecrators were Cardinal Bernard Jan Alfrink , Archbishop of Utrecht , and Cardinal William Conway , Archbishop of Armagh .

On March 28, 1977 Paul VI appointed him. to the Bishop of Montería . Pope John Paul II appointed him Archbishop of Cartagena on September 23, 1983 . On October 24, 2005, Pope Benedict XVI. his resignation.
