Carlos Vicente Tenorio Medina (born May 14, 1979 in Esmeraldas ) is a soccer player from Ecuador who currently plays for the Sport Boys Warnes in Bolivia. Tenorio is a seasoned striker best known for his headers .
Tenorio began his career at LDU Quito , where he made a name for himself as the second top scorer in his team in the 2001 season. Due to his good performance, he made his debut on November 14, 2001 in the national team in a World Cup qualifier against Chile , which ended 0-0. He was nominated for the 2002 World Cup and played all three preliminary round matches of his team without scoring a goal.
For the 2003 season he was loaned from Liga de Quito to Al-Nasr in Saudi Arabia for five months . He signed a contract with Al-Sadd in Doha for the 2004 season, but had previously played a few matches for his Ecuadorian club. In his first year in Qatar, he became the second best scorer in the league after Gabriel Batistuta . With his team he also won the national championship title in 2004. In June 2009, he moved to Al-Nasr in Dubai .
With the national team he was able to qualify for the 2006 World Cup and belongs to the Ecuadorian squad for the World Cup. In the first game at the World Cup, Tenorio put his team in the lead with a header against the favored Poles . It was Tenorio's sixth goal in their 30th international match. Ecuador won the game 2-0 after another goal from Agustín Delgado . In the second game of this World Cup, Tenorio again scored the opening goal against Costa Rica to make it 1-0 with a header.
