Baghdad Bounedjah ( Arabic بغداد بونجاح Baghdād Būnedschāh , DMG Baġdād Būnaǧāḥ ; Born November 30, 1991 in Oran ) is an Algerian football player .
Career
Youth & Beginnings
Bounedjah played for the RCG Oran as a teenager . In June 2011 he moved to the Algerian first division club USM El Harrach .
Étoile Sportive du Sahel
In June 2013, Bounedjah signed a three-year contract with Étoile Sportive du Sahel , one of the top teams in Tunisia . He quickly became a key player there and was the top scorer in his first season in 2014. In addition, he won the Coupe de Tunisie twice in 2014 and 2015 with Étoile . He scored the winning goal in the 2014 final against CS Sfax and even a hat-trick against Stade Gabèsien the following year . The game ended 4-3 for Étoile.
In November 2015, Bounedjah won his first international title, the CAF Confederation Cup 2015 , where he was also top scorer with seven goals.
Al Sadd Sports Club
In June 2015, Bounedjah signed a contract with al-Sadd Sport Club from Qatar and became the second most expensive transfer in the history of the Tunisian football league. However, since the club had exceeded the number of foreign players allowed in Qatar, Bounedjah was loaned to Étoile for six months. The loan deal ended in December 2015. On August 12, 2018, Bounedjah broke a record in the Qatar Stars League against Al-Arabi ; He scored seven goals in a single game, something no player has done before. The game ended 10-1.
