Carmen Anhorn (born August 5, 1956 in Lucerne , Switzerland ) is a Swiss singer with a soprano and mezzo- soprano voice .

Carmen Anhorn studied at the Zurich University of Music from 1975 to 1980 with Sylvia Gähwiller and Carol Smith. From 1980 to 1982 she received lessons from Brigitte Fassbaender in the opera studio of the Bavarian State Opera in Munich . From 1982 to 1988 she was a soloist at the Bavarian State Opera, initially as a coloratura soprano , especially as a soubrette . From 1985 she received extensive lessons from Leonore Kirschstein in Augsburg and from 1987 appeared mainly as a mezzo-soprano.
