Carola Kretschmer

Carola Kretschmer (born Thomas Kretschmer on August 10, 1948 in Fulda ) is a German rock guitarist . She is best known for her long-term collaboration with Udo Lindenberg .

Life

Kretschmer worked as a guitarist on the LP 1972 thumb in the wind by Udo Lindenberg with. In the same year she was briefly guitarist for the band Frumpy . After Frumpy broke up, Kretschmer succeeded Karl Allaut as guitarist in the Lindenberg Panic Orchestra , to which she initially belonged until 1980. In the 1980s Kretschmer accompanied Stefan Waggershausen on several tours and in the 1990s she was the guitarist of the Munich band Central Park. In 1999 Kretschmer underwent gender reassignment measures and has been called Carola Kretschmer since then . Since 2003 Carola Kretschmer has been working increasingly with Udo Lindenberg again and accompanied him on the 2008 tour “Strong as Two”.
