Jean-Jacques Kravetz (born May 23, 1947 in Paris ) is a French keyboardist , saxophonist and composer . Since the 1970s he has been an integral part of Peter Maffay's band, Udo Lindenberg's panic orchestra and guest musician in numerous German-speaking bands.

Career

From 1960 to 1965 Jean-Jacques Kravetz studied the instruments alto saxophone and piano at the Paris Conservatory . In 1965 he formed his first band in Paris. In 1966 he joined the band Les Piteuls and had his first recording deal. He later worked with Michel Polnareff and Charles Trenet. In 1967, because of love, I moved to Hamburg. From 1967 to 1975 he worked there as a saxophone teacher at the Hamburg Conservatory and was a member of the band Die City Preachers as well as co-founder of Frumpy and its successor band Atlantis .

Jean-Jacques Kravetz has been a permanent member of Udo Lindenberg's Panik Orchestra since 1975, and in the Peter Maffay Band since 1977 .

In 2008 Kravetz founded the Entrée Music Foundation , which has set itself the task of stimulating and promoting active music-making in many areas. As part of his foundation, a big concert for the benefit of the foundation took place in Hamburg's Stadtpark on May 31, 2008, among others Peter Maffay and band, Udo Lindenberg and the panic orchestra, Inga Rumpf , Frumpy with Udo Lindenberg on drums, Caro, Julia Neigel played , Heinz-Rudolf Kunze , Achim Reichel , the Scorpions , Dorkas Kiefer , Wunder , The Glam and his two sons Pascal and Julien Kravetz.
