Carole Wilson is an English opera singer with a mezzo-soprano voice . She has been a member of the Vienna State Opera ensemble since 2014 .

life and work

Carole Wilson made her debut in Tchaikovsky's Pique Dame at Glyndebourne Opera in 1995 and has since performed at practically every major opera house in Great Britain. In 2002 she sang for the first time at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden and has since performed as Rychtářka in Jenůfa , Agnes in Prodaná nevěsta , Aksinja in Ledi Makbet Mzenskowo ujesda , Countess in Pikowaja dama and as Martre Schwertlein in the Faust of Charles Gounod and to Listen.

The singer is a regular guest at international opera houses such as the Scala di Milano , the Opéra National de Paris , the Teatro Real in Madrid and the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels, at De Nederlandse Opera in Amsterdam, as well as in Geneva, Monte Carlo, Montpellier and Antwerp. Her roles include Geneviève in Pelléas et Mélisande , Cassandre in Les Troyens , Amneris, Annina, Giovanna and Curra in the Verdi operas Aida , La traviata , Rigoletto and La forza del destino , Herodias and Third Maid in Richard Strauss' Salome and Elektra , as well as two roles in Benjamin Britten's Peter Grimes , Auntie and Mrs. Sedley. Carole Wilson has performed as a concert singer at the Royal Albert Hall and the Royal Festival Hall in London, the Usher Hall in Edinburgh, the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow, St David's Hall in Cardiff, the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam to listen. Her concert repertoire ranges from Bach , Handel and Vivaldi to Mahler , Janáček and Vaughan Williams .
