Castelnau-de-Brassac ( Occitan : Castèlnòu de Braçac ) is a commune déléguée in the French commune of Fontrieu with 739 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in southern France . Since January 1, 2016, the locality and previously an independent municipality is a part ( Commune déléguée ) of the municipality of Fontrieu in the Tarn department and in the Castres district .

Castelnau-de-Brassac is located about 22 kilometers east-northeast of Castres . The Vernoubre rises here . The agout is in the southwest.
