The Caudeau is a river in France that runs in the Dordogne department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region . It rises in the municipality of Veyrines-de-Vergt , generally drains in a south-westerly direction and after 38 kilometers flows into the Dordogne as a right tributary at Bergerac . The Caudeau divides into two estuary arms near Pombonne , one of which runs largely underground in the urban area of Bergerac, the other passes through the northern and western suburbs of Bergerac and flows below the weir system.
