Lamonzie-Montastruc ( Occitan : La Mongia et Mont Astruc ) is a municipality with 709 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Dordogne department in southwestern France in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . Lamonzie-Montastruc belongs to the Arrondissement of Bergerac and the canton of Bergerac-2 .

Lamonzie-Montastruc is located in the south of the Dordogne department in Périgord on the Louyre river , which flows into the Caudeau here . Lamonzie-Montastruc is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Georges-de-Montclard in the north and northeast, Liorac-sur-Louyre in the east, Mouleydier in the south and southeast, Saint-Sauveur in the south, Lembras in the west and southwest Queyssac in the west and Campsegret in the north-west.
The route nationale 21 runs along the western municipal boundary.
