Saint-Laurent-des-Vignes is a French commune with 886 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Dordogne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Aquitaine ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Bergerac and the canton Pays de la Force (until 2015: canton Bergerac-2 ).

The name in the Occitan language is Sent Laurenç dei Vinhas and is derived from Saint Lawrence of Rome . The addition "Vignes" ( German vineyards ) indicates the vineyards that cover the terraces of the municipality.

The inhabitants are called Saint-Laurentais and Saint-Laurentaises .

Saint-Laurent-des-Vignes is located about five km southwest of Bergerac in its catchment area ( Aire urbaine ) in the Bergeracois area of the historic province of Périgord .
