Prigonrieux ( Occitan : Prigond Riu ) is a French municipality with 4157 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Dordogne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Bergerac and is part of the canton of Pays de la Force .
geography
Prigonrieux is located in the Périgord region on the Dordogne river , which also forms the southern municipal boundary. Prigondrieux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lunas in the north, Ginestet in the northeast, Bergerac in the east, Saint-Laurent-des-Vignes in the southeast, Lamonzie-Saint-Martin in the southwest, La Force in the west and Saint-Georges-Blancaneix in the northwest. The community belongs to the Rosette wine-growing region .
