The canton Bergerac-2 is a constituency in the Arrondissement of Bergerac , in the Dordogne and in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine in France .
history
The canton was founded on March 4, 1790 as part of the establishment of the departments as part of what was then the "Bergerac District". With the establishment of the arrondissements on February 17, 1800, the canton was redesigned as part of what was then the arrondissement of Bergerac.

The canton borders in the north with the canton Bergerac-1 , in the east with the canton Lalinde , in the south with the cantons Issigeac and Sigoulès and in the west with the canton La Force .

Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the canton Bergerac-2 included the eleven municipalities of Bergerac , Cours-de-Pile , Creysse , Lamonzie-Montastruc , Lembras , Mouleydier , Queyssac , Saint-Germain-et-Mons , and Saint-Laurent -des-Vignes , Saint-Nexans and Saint-Sauveur . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 2448.
