Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the canton of Thiviers included the ten communes of Corgnac-sur-l'Isle , Eyzerac , Lempzours , Nantheuil , Saint-Jean-de-Côle , Saint-Martin-de-Fressengeas and Saint-Pierre -de-Côle , Saint-Romain-et-Saint-Clément , Thiviers and Vaunac . Its layout corresponded to an area of ​​168.07 km². Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 2441.
