The Canton Montpon-Ménestérol is a French constituency in the district Perigueux , in the Dordogne and in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine ; its main town is Montpon-Ménestérol ; Jean-Paul Lotterie ( PS ) has been a representative in the General Council of the Département since 2004 .

Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the canton of Montpon-Ménestérol included the eight municipalities of Échourgnac , Eygurande-et-Gardedeuil , Ménesplet , Montpon-Ménestérol , Le Pizou , Saint-Barthélemy-de-Bellegarde , Saint-Martial-d ' Artenset and Saint-Sauveur-Lalande . Its layout corresponded to an area of 227.33 km². Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 2423.
