Chenaud is a village and a former French community with 356 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Dordogne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belonged to the Arrondissement of Périgueux and the canton of Montpon-Ménestérol .

With effect from January 1, 2016, the former parishes of Parcoul and Chenaud were merged to form a commune nouvelle called Parcoul-Chenaud . The former municipalities have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Parcoul.

Neighboring towns are Saint-Quentin-de-Chalais in the north, Les Essards in the northeast, Saint Aulaye-Puymangou in the southeast, Parcoul in the southwest and Bazac in the west.
