Échourgnac ( Occitan : Eschornhac ) is a French municipality with 392 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Dordogne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Périgueux and the canton of Montpon-Ménestérol .

geography

Échourgnac is located about 39 kilometers west-southwest of Périgueux in the Périgord . The river Durche has its source here . The neighboring municipalities of Échourgnac are Saint-Vincent-Jalmoutiers in the north, La Jemaye in the east and northeast, Saint-Michel-de-Double in the southeast, Saint-Barthélemy-de-Bellegarde in the south and Servanches in the west.
