Saint-Aquilin ( Occitan : Sent Agulin ) is a French municipality with 479 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Dordogne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine ; it belongs to the Arrondissement Périgueux and the canton Vallée de l'Isle (until 2015: Neuvic ). The inhabitants are called Aquilinois .

geography

Saint-Aquilin is located about 20 kilometers west of Périgueux in the Périgord countryside . The neighboring municipalities of Saint-Aquilin are Tocane-Saint-Apre in the north, Mensignac in the northeast, Léguillac-de-l'Auche in the east, Saint-Astier in the south and southeast, Chantérac in the southwest and Segonzac in the west and northwest.
