Saint-Sulpice-de-Roumagnac is a French municipality with 279 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Dordogne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Aquitaine ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Périgueux and the canton of Ribérac .

The name in the Occitan language is Sent Suplesís de Romanhac and is derived from Saint Sulpicius II of Bourges . The addition "Roumagnac" is probably due to an estate that in Gallo-Roman times belonged to a centurion from Romagna in northern Italy .

The inhabitants are called Romagnosulpiciens and Romagnosulpiciennes .

Saint-Sulpice-de-Roumagnac is located about 26 km west of Périgueux in the Ribéracois area of the historic province of Périgord on the western edge of the department.
