Douchapt is located about 29 kilometers northwest of Périgueux . The Dronne limits the community in the north. Douchapt is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Victor in the north, Tocane-Saint-Apre in the east, Segonzac in the south, Saint-Pardoux-de-Drône in the west and Saint-Méard-de-Drône in the northwest.
