Ménesplet ( Occitan : MENESPLET ) is a French municipality with 1817 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Dordogne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Périgueux and the canton of Montpon-Ménestérol . The inhabitants are called Ménesplesiens .

Ménesplet is located in Périgord on the Isle of the river , into which the Duche flows. The neighboring municipalities of Ménesplet are Montpon-Ménestérol in the north and east, Saint-Martin-de-Gurson in the south, Moulin-Neuf in the west and Le Pizou in the northwest.

The A89 autoroute and the former Route nationale 89 (now D6089) run through the municipality from Bordeaux to Brive-la-Gaillarde .
