Mensignac ( Occitan : Mencinhac ) is a French municipality with 1521 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Dordogne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Périgueux and the canton of Saint-Astier . The inhabitants are called Mensignacois .
geography
Mensignac is located about 13 kilometers west-northwest of Périgueux in the Périgord countryside . The neighboring communities of Mensignac are Lisle in the north, Bussac in the northeast, La Chapelle-Gonaguet in the east, Annesse-et-Beaulieu in the southeast, Léguillac-de-l'Auche in the south, Saint-Aquilin in the southwest and Tocane-Saint-Apre in the West.
