The District of Saint-Astier is a French constituency in the district Perigueux , in the Dordogne and in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine ; its main town is Saint-Astier . Jacques Monmarson (formerly DVG , now PS ) has been a representative in the General Council of the Département since 1994, re-elected in 2008 .

Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the canton of Saint-Astier also included the municipality of Razac-sur-l'Isle . Its layout corresponded to an area of 227.56 km². Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 2430.
