The canton Bergerac-1 is a constituency in the Arrondissement of Bergerac , in the Dordogne and in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine in France .
history
The canton was founded on March 4, 1790 as part of the establishment of the departments as part of what was then the "Bergerac District". With the establishment of the arrondissements on February 17, 1800, the canton was redesigned as part of what was then the arrondissement of Bergerac.

geography
The canton borders in the north with the canton Villamblard , in the east and south with the canton Bergerac-2 and in the west with the canton La Force . Bergerac is divided into two cantons, this is the far more populous part of the city, in the other canton there are other municipalities.
