The Canton Ribérac is a French canton in the Arrondissement Périgueux in the Dordogne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine ; its main town is Ribérac , representative in the General Council of the Department has been since 1976, re-elected in 2008, Bernard Cazeau.

Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the 13 municipalities of Allemans , Bourg-du-Bost , Chassaignes , Comberanche-et-Épeluche , Petit-Bersac , Ribérac , Saint-Martin-de-Ribérac , Saint-Méard belonged to the canton of Ribérac -de-Drône , Saint-Pardoux-de-Drône , Saint-Sulpice-de-Roumagnac , Siorac-de-Ribérac , Vanxains and Villetoureix . Its layout corresponded to an area of 187.12 km². Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 2428.
