Le Grand Étang de Jemaye

La Jemaye is a village and a former French community with 111 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Dordogne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belonged to the Arrondissement of Périgueux and the Canton of Ribérac .

With effect from January 1, 2017, the former municipalities of Ponteyraud and La Jemaye were merged into a commune nouvelle called La Jemaye-Ponteyraud . The former municipalities have in the new municipality on the status of a Commune déléguée . The administrative headquarters are located in La Jemaye.

Neighboring towns are Saint-Vincent-Jalmoutiers and Ponteyraud in the north-west, Vanxains in the north, Siorac-de-Ribérac in the east, Saint-André-de-Double in the south-east and Saint-Michel-de-Double in the south and Échourgnac in the south-west.
