Coursac ( Occitan : Corsac ) is a French municipality with 2149 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Dordogne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Périgueux and the canton of Saint-Astier . The inhabitants are called Coursacais .

geography

Coursac is located about nine kilometers southwest of Périgueux in the Périgord countryside . The neighboring municipalities of Coursac are Razac-sur-l'Isle in the north and north-west, Coulounieix-Chamiers in the north-east, Notre-Dame-de-Sanilhac in the east, Chalagnac in the south-east, Saint-Paul-de-Serre in the south, Manzac-sur -Vern in the southwest and Montrem in the west.

The A89 autoroute runs through the municipality from Bordeaux to Brive-la-Gaillarde .
