Saint-Germain-du-Salembre ( Occitan Sent German de Salembre ) is a French municipality with 941 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Dordogne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Aquitaine ); it belongs to the Arrondissement Périgueux and the canton Vallée de l'Isle (until 2015 Neuvic ). The inhabitants are called Salembrais .

Saint-Germain-du-Salembre is located about 20 kilometers west-southwest of Périgueux in the Périgord countryside . The neighboring municipalities of Saint-Germain-du-Salembre are Chantérac in the north, Saint-Astier in the east and northeast, Saint-Léon-sur-l'Isle in the east, Neuvic in the southeast, Douzillac in the south and Saint-Jean-d'Ataux in the West.
