La Chapelle-Gonaguet ( Occitan : La Chapela de Gonaguet ) is a French municipality with 1069 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Dordogne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Périgueux and the canton of Saint-Astier .

La Chapelle-Gonaguet is located about ten kilometers northwest of Périgueux in the Périgord countryside . The neighboring communities of La Chapelle-Gonaguet are Bussac in the north, Château-l'Évêque in the east, Chancelade in the south and south-east, Annesse-et-Beaulieu in the south and south-west and Mensignac in the west.
