Servanches ( Occitan Servenchas ) is a southwestern French city and a municipality (commune) with 86 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the far west of the department Dordogne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Aquitaine ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Périgueux and the canton of Montpon-Ménestérol (until 2015 Saint-Aulaye ). The inhabitants are called servanchois .
geography
Servanches is located about fifty kilometers west of Périgueux and is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Saint Aulaye-Puymangou in the north and northwest, Saint-Vincent-Jalmoutiers in the northeast, Échourgnac in the east, Saint-Barthélemy-de-Bellegarde in the south and southeast, Eygurande-et -Gardedeuil to the south and southwest and La Roche-Chalais to the west.
