Issac ( Occitan : Eiçac ) is a municipality with 445 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Dordogne department in southwestern France in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016 Aquitaine ). Issac belongs to the Arrondissement of Périgueux and the canton of Périgord Central (until 2015: Canton of Villamblard ).

geography

Issac is located about 18 kilometers north-northwest of the city center of Bergerac and about 22 kilometers southwest of Périgueux in the Perigord . Issac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sourzac in the north and north-west, Saint-Séverin-d'Estissac in the north, Saint-Jean-d'Estissac in the north-east, Saint-Hilaire-d'Estissac in the east, Beleyms in the east and south-east, Église- Neuve-d'Issac in the south and Bourgnac in the west.
