Notre-Dame-de-Sanilhac is a town and commune Déléguée in the French municipality of Sanilhac with 3,165 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Dordogne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine .
geography
Notre-Dame-de-Sanilhac is about six kilometers south of the city center of Périgueux . As a municipality, Notre-Dame-de-Sanilhac was surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Périgueux in the north, Boulazac in the northeast, Atur in the east and northeast, Marsaneix in the southeast, Église-Neuve-de-Vergt in the south and southeast, Chalagnac in the south and southwest, Coursac in the west and Coulounieix-Chamiers in the northwest.
The A89 autoroute and the national route 21 run through the municipality .
history
In 1823 the previously independent municipality of Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens was incorporated into Notre-Dame-de-Sanilhac. With effect from January 1, 2017, the former municipalities of Breuilh , Marsaneix and Notre-Dame-de-Sanilhac were merged and, as Communes déléguées, have since formed the Commune nouvelle Sanilhac. The municipality of Notre-Dame-de-Sanilhac belonged to the Arrondissement Périgueux and the canton of Saint-Pierre-de-Chignac
