The gas turbine ship Celebrity Constellation is a 5-star luxury cruise ship, the shipping company Celebrity Cruises is operated and mid-May, was put into service of 2002. The ship was built by the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire ( France ). The construction costs were around 350 million US dollars. The Celebrity Constellation was the last of four Millennium- class ships to be built. Sister ships are the Celebrity Millennium (2000), the Celebrity Infinity (2001) and the Celebrity Summit (2001).

The cruise ship has eleven decks, ten of which are passenger decks (Continental Deck, Plaza Deck, Promenade Deck, Entertainment Deck, Penthouse Deck, Vista Deck, Panorama Deck, Sky Deck, Resort Deck, Sunrise Deck). There are 970 inside and outside cabins as well as suites available to passengers. The language on board is English and the currency on board is US dollars. In April 2010, the ship was renovated and equipped with Solstice-class equipment. In April 2013, 60 new cabins were retrofitted, which are already available on the sister ships.

Since delivery, the ship has been sailing the Baltic Sea in summer and the Caribbean in winter. In 2002 and 2003 the Mediterranean and Western Europe were sailed in autumn. The ship was used there again in autumn 2010. From 2002 to 2006 there were also trips to the fjords of Norway in the summer, and since June 2010 the ship has been cruising there again, partly to Spitsbergen . From 2002 to 2009 the ship sailed Canada and New England in the fall. In 2009 and 2010 there were also trips through the Panama Canal. The Black Sea was first sailed in 2013. In 2014 and 2015, nudist cruises were organized in the Caribbean.
